Our Advocacy Support and Services for International Students Team is the primary hub for assistance with immigration questions, on campus support, advocacy, and resources. ASSIST also partners with the Admissions department to help ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted for new international students.

Driver’s License / State Identification Information
The Department of Revenue no longer requires a letter from the OASIS office.
What you need to take with you:
- Your passport
- Your I-20
- Full-Time Verification Letter
- Obtained from the Station
- Proof of Address:
- If a commuter - phone bill, utility bill, etc.
- If a resident - letter from Residential Life.
- Social Security
- DENIAL letter, if you do not have a SSN.

Optional Practical Training / OPT Information Request
Students are allowed a total of 12 months of employment at every degree level. Students with degrees in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) may be eligible for a 24- month extension of OPT.

Curriculum Practical Training / CPT Information Request
Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is an authorized period of employment that is an integral or important part of a student’s curriculum.
CPT has to be related to your program of study and approved by your Academic Advisor.
