What is Army ROTC?

Lindenwood University has an agreement with Washington University that makes the Army ROTC Basic courses available to qualified Lindenwood students. This program enables students to earn appointments as commissioned officers in the United States Army. Students interested in pursuing this opportunity should consult with Lindenwood’s ROTC advisor.

Scholarship Opportunities

Lindenwood University Army ROTC offers merit based campus scholarships. These scholarships cover full tuition while Lindenwood will provide full food and housing grants for the duration of the scholarship. There is also a monthly stipends of $420 as well as an annual book allowance of $1,200. Missouri Army National Guard, United States Army Reserve and Reserve Officer Training Corps members may be eligible for special financial incentives and entitlements such as: Lindenwood ROTC GRANT, ARNG Federal Tuition Assistance, MOARNG State Tuition, Monthly Drill Pay, ROTC Stipend, Montgomery GI Bill® and Kicker.

SMP/ROTC

(Simultaneous Membership Program/Reserve Officer Training Corps)

This program enables members of the Missouri Army National Guard and Army Reserves to participate in ROTC to earn their commission as an officer in the U.S. Army and obtain a bachelor’s degree in a field of their choice. Special financial incentives and entitlements are available for these students. SMP contracted cadets receive a monthly stipends from Cadet Command of $420 per month as well as E-5/SGT drill pay. These benefits are on top of any G.I. Bill benefits the Soldier may be eligible to receive.

Lindenwood University Army ROTC freshmen and sophomore classes are conveniently located in the Spellmann Center. Room 4185.

Montgomery GI Bill®

Lindenwood helps qualified students obtain financial assistance for their education through M.G.I.B. Chapter 30 (Active Duty), M.G.I.B. Chapter 1606 (Selected Reserve), M.G.I.B. (Chapter 1607). Information is available at the Admissions Office or the Student Financial Services Office located on Main Street in Spellmann Center, 3rd floor.
