The alumni chapter offers a chance for you to stay involved in University activities and to play a part in the preservation of Lindenwood's history. We welcome your ideas for promoting Lindenwood University.
What We Do
The Lindenwood University St. Charles Alumni Chapter promotes a continuation of learning opportunities, networking, and a chance to give back to the University by:
- Supporting student scholarships through donations
- Volunteering at campus-sponsored events
- Hosting welcome receptions and alumni gatherings during Homecoming and Reunion
- Contributing to special Lindenwood projects
- Organizing engaging social activities for alumni

Responsibilities
The President serves as the leader and primary representative of the alumni community, with a vision for fostering connections, promoting engagement, and enhancing the chapter's impact within both the alumni network and the larger community. This individual has demonstrated leadership and a deep commitment to the institution and its values. This individual works closely with the Director of Alumni Relations to create initiatives that benefit members. Ultimately, the President plays a pivotal role in ensuring the group remains relevant and impactful, strengthening bonds between alumni and ensuring the chapter continues to thrive for future generations.

Responsibilities
The Vice-President plays a crucial role in supporting the chapter’s strategic initiatives and ensuring smooth operation. This individual oversees recruitment at events and stepping in for the President when needed. With a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, the Vice-President helps to foster communication between alumni members, providing support for networking and engagement efforts. They assist in driving the chapter’s goals forward, often helping to implement new ideas, sustain growth, and strengthen alumni connections with their alma mater. The Vice-President is integral in ensuring the chapter’s success, and their leadership skills contribute to the chapter's long-term impact and influence.

Responsibilities
The Treasurer is responsible for managing the chapter’s finances, ensuring that funds are handled with transparency, accuracy, and accountability. This individual oversees budgeting, tracking expenses, and organizing fundraising efforts, ensuring that transactions align with the chapter’s goals and policies. The Treasurer works with the President and other officers to allocate resources for events, scholarships, and other alumni-related initiatives. The Treasurer ensures timely financial reporting, prepares statements for meetings, and may help with securing sponsorships or donations. Their role is critical in maintaining the financial health of the chapter, ensuring it remains sustainable to support alumni engagement and outreach.

Bio
Amy Johnson graduated from Lindenwood with an Elementary Education degree in 1997. She earned her master’s degree in 1999. She loved Lindenwood so much, she continued her education and earned a degree in Library Media Science. As a student, she was part of Lion Line, held a position on Student Council, and was a founder and inaugural member of the Ambassadors. She is proud to be part of the St. Charles Alumni Chapter and loves Lindenwood!
Responsibilities
The Secretary plays an essential role in maintaining organization and communication within the group. Responsible for keeping accurate records of meetings, events, and key decisions, the Secretary ensures that alumni are kept informed. They handle the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas, minutes, and other important documents, ensuring that information is accessible for members. The Secretary often manages correspondence, responding to inquiries and facilitating communication between the alumni chapter and its members. Their organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial in maintaining smooth operations, helping the chapter run efficiently, and fostering a strong, connected alumni network.
