The Office of Alumni Relations and the Alumni Association are pleased to provide a wide range of event programming to foster the bonds between Lindenwood’s alumni and friends. From signature events such as Homecoming and Reunion, to monthly social and professional development events, we are excited to bring the Lindenwood family together, whether in person or virtually.
In a normal year, the Office of Alumni Relations will host roughly 70-80 events, averaging 5-7 events per month that involve local events, travel events with the President, on-campus events, and virtual events. These tiers will expand to international travel in future years. These tiers are based on location where our alumni & friends live.

- Tier 2: Quarterly - Chicago and Dallas
- Tier 3: Biannually - Denver, Houston, Kansas City, and Los Angeles
- Tier 4: Annually - Florida (East), Florida (Central & West), Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco
On-Campus Events
Homecoming (Fall Semester)
Homecoming is one of the largest events of the year and happens in October. Come back to see campus, enjoy the game, catch up with other alumni, take a tour of campus, and much more.
Dark Carnival (Fall Semester)
Dark Carnival is the largest community-wide event that Lindenwood hosts. Open to all, this event hosts hundreds of booths for children to play games and win candy. There are also haunted houses on campus, live entertainment, and much more. Spirit week is a variety of events that lead up to Dark Carnival.
Winterfest (Fall Semester)
Winterfest is the longest standing winter tradition that Lindenwood hosts. Formally known as Christmas Walk, the event is open to the community for a chance to stroll through the historic campus past more than 3,000 luminaries while visitors enjoy hot chocolate, s’mores, cookie decorating, and crafts to keep the holiday spirit alive.
Alumni Reunion Weekend (Spring Semester)
Reunions provide the perfect opportunity to reconnect and reminisce on your LU days with former classmates. Join us in the spring for Lindenwood Alumni Reunion. Celebrate milestones, accomplishments, and alumni awards on Campus.
Giving Week (Spring Semester)
Lindenwood Giving Week is a weeklong online fundraising event for Lindenwood University. No matter what your philanthropic passion is, there is something for everyone. Those who participate in this week can give to athletics, scholarships, or the academic college with which they have a personal connection. All gifts collected change students' lives.
Alumni Awards Banquet (Spring Semester)
The alumni awards banquet is a special occasion for the recipients of the Alumni Merit, Alumni Service, and Young Alumni Awards. These awards are a prestigious honor that involve special gifts, alumni being celebrated all throughout the year, and a recognition for all they have done for Lindenwood and the community.
Endowed Scholarship Luncheon (Spring Semester)
Endowed scholarships create a living legacy by helping current students and countless generations of future students. These scholarships are permanent funds whose principal always remains invested and the investment income is used to award scholarships. Many students would not be able to attend Lindenwood without the help of these scholarships. Because of that, each year Lindenwood hosts an opportunity for students to meet the donors that provide these scholarships. Students who meet with their donors understand the importance of giving back to their alma mater and donors can see the impact they’ve made in a student's life.
Off-Campus Events
Local Events
Did you know that over half of the Lindenwood alumni living in the United States reside in the greater St. Louis area? Because of that, we are dedicated to bringing more events to those living right here in our own backyard. There are four quadrants the Office of Alumni Relations will target in the St. Charles and St. Louis counties. Events will be held in these locations on a rotating basis throughout the year and will be planned based on alumni input.
Receptions with President Porter
President Porter will be visiting key cities where our alumni and friends are located. These cities include Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, San Diego, Denver, Kansas City, Jupiter, Naples, Tampa, Orlando, and more! During this trips, alumni and friends living in these areas will be invited to a special reception to meet with the President, learn about university updates, and connect with others in their local area.
