Shenika Harris
Dr. Harris received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, with a double major in Spanish and psychology, and a Master of Arts in Spanish from Saint Louis University. She holds a graduate certificate in Language Instruction from Washington University in St. Louis, and she earned a Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition with a minor in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her current research interests include the effect of course format on second language acquisition, foreign language literacy, and translanguaging during second language writing.
Maite Nunez-Betelu
Dr. Maite Nunez-Betelu earned an M.A. In Comparative Literature from West Virginia University and a Ph. D. in Romance Languages from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is a Professor of Spanish and teaches courses in Spanish language, culture, history, and literature. She specializes in contemporary Basque women Writers but her research interests include Basque and Hispanic culture as well as contemporary women writers of Spain and Latin America. Other areas of interest are children's literature and crime fiction.
Gabriela Romero
Dr. Gabriela Romero is Full Professor of Spanish, and Department Head of English, Languages, and Interdisciplinary Studies in the College of Arts and Humanities at LU. She earned her MA in Spanish, a Graduate Certificate in Language Instruction, and her Ph. D. in Hispanic Languages and Literatures from Washington University in St. Louis. She also holds a degree in English and Teacher Training from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina.
