The African American Studies Minor provides students with an interdisciplinary approach to the study of African-descended peoples and cultures in the United States and throughout the African Diaspora. Students will explore the four hundred years of history, cultural expressions, and beliefs that shape African Americans today. This interdisciplinary curriculum will give students a multifaceted, global vision of contemporary racial formations in the United States.
