The security studies minor focuses particularly on the threats and opportunities present in the global security environment of the 21st century. Students with this minor will gain an in-depth knowledge of issues such as the evolution of terrorism, nuclear proliferation and rogue states, great power politics and diplomacy, civil war and state collapse, and other challenges facing the international community today and in coming decades.
