Biographical Information

Prof. Connor Scott directs three choirs at Lindenwood University: University Chorus, Concert Choir, and Voices Only. He also advises the Music Education students and coursework. Scott oversees the Voice Area, teaches Music Theory, and teaches Organ.

Connor Scott is a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Choral Music degree candidate from the University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music. There he studied conducting, early music, and musicology. His dissertation on the French Baroque sacred music of Versailles palace is titled: “The Grand Motets of Pascal Collasse (1649–1709) In First Critical Edition, Vol. I Beatus vir, qui timet Dominum: A Performance Practice Guide for King Louis XIV Versailles Era
Grand Motets 1683–1715.” Connor Scott is a conductor, singer, pianist, organist, and music educator from Hillsboro, Missouri. He holds a Bachelors of Music Education from Webster University and a Masters of Music Education from the University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory.

Scott is also the Director of Music: Organist & Choir Director at the historic Christ Church Cathedral where he plays the 1965 Aeolian-Skinner organ and works with the Cathedral Choir.

Formerly, Scott was the Assistant Conductor with Choral Arts Initiative, a professional choir organization focusing on living composers and their works.
