Course Description

Latin American Literature I is designed to give students a chance to explore and learn writing from a wide scope of complex and challenging readings/translations written by three male authors from Latin America. This course will challenge students to think about Latin American fiction from a writer’s perspective. Students will study the vast and diverse writing methods that writers have been using in Latin America for the past fifty years. Students will get the opportunity to examine literary and historical novel writing and discuss each writers’ writing style and writing technique.
