Scheidegger Center for the Arts opened in the fall of 2008 with two sold-out performances by the legendary Liza Minnelli and has been entertaining the St. Louis region ever since. Located on the campus of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., the Center presents high-quality, professional entertainment in an intimate setting, boasting a 1,175-seat, Broadway-style stage, a 200-seat black box theater, and a large art gallery. For 13 years, the Scheidegger Center has provided cultural enrichment to Lindenwood University and the St. Charles community with national theater tours, classical and popular music concerts, world-renowned dance, comedy, and celebrity entertainers. The Center for the Arts is also home to the university’s College of Arts and Humanities, hosting student productions by the theatre, dance, and music programs and providing students with experience opportunities on stage crews, master class opportunities, and industry exposure via the professional tours. Dear Friends, Welcome to the 2021-2022 touring series at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts at Lindenwood University! Since we last opened our doors to you, we have undergone exciting changes. We have some new faces, a brand-new ticketing system, and a theater that meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. We are ready to welcome you, because no matter what positive changes we have made, it all means nothing without you in the theater! This season was designed to appeal to a wide variety of audience members; there’s a little bit of everything for everyone, and performances for all ages. Being with family and friends is a very important component for quality of life and this season is meant to appeal to everyone in the group. Our season opener, Masters of Illusion ® , will delight and awe all members of the family and The Haggard Brothers will bring you back to a simpler time of country- western in their musical tribute to their dad, Merle, along with special guest EmiSunshine – one of Rolling Stones “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know.” The Southern Fried Chicks will be one big laughfest; so, plan a girls’ night out, have fun and let loose. A Very Electric Christmas will be a special holiday treat for all with their amazing technological storytelling. Pull out your dancing shoes because Big Bad Voodoo Daddy ’s Wild and Swingin’ Holiday Party is coming to Lindenwood! If you have never experienced one of their shows, you will not be disappointed. Cirque Mechanics will bring their feats of engineering and acrobatics to the stage in “Birdhouse Factory.” Terry Fator will delight with his mastery of ventriloquism and the incomparable music of Tower of Power will literally bring you to your feet. Last, but not least, one of the most influential and revered jazz masters, Branford Marsalis , and his award-winning quartet will close out the season. We are pleased to offer another way to purchase tickets this year: pick-a-pack . By picking at least four shows, you’ll earn a discount without having to commit to every show. You can expect a more professional experience while purchasing your tickets with the ability to add an email to your account, which will then pre-fill all your pertinent information, so you don’t need to re-enter it every time you purchase tickets. In addition, luboxoffice.com is now your main campus box office and is available 24/7 online! For your convenience, you can purchase admission to the touring series and academic arts events, as well as tickets for football, basketball and women’s gymnastics, and other on-campus ticketed events – all in one place, both online and in-person during box office hours. I hope you are excited about these incredible artists and the opportunity to see them live in our intimate, beautiful theater. Share the joy of live performance with your loved ones, and we look forward to seeing you at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts soon. See you at a show!
