Lindenwood University Fall Dance Concert, 2022

L INDENWOOD UNI VERS I TY CHOREOGRAPHERS TRACY B DUPRE (FACULTY) has been an Adjunct Instructor of Dance at Lindenwood University since 2003. She has a cross-disciplinary focus in dance and digital media and teaches courses in tap, jazz, dance theory and composition and choreographs for concerts. She taught at the Performing Arts Centre and has served as the Tap Dance Coordinator at COCA (Center of Creative Arts) where she taught tap, jazz and choreographed for COCAdance, COCAbiz and COCAcabana. Her training was with the Performing Arts Centre where she was a member of the Dance Company of St. Charles. Tracy studied modern dance, musical theatre, West African dance, ballet, choreography, Pilates and video production at Stephens College. She has earned a bachelor’s degree in TV & Video Production, Master of Arts in Mass Communication & Digital Media and has completed coursework for her Master of Fine Arts in Dance. In 2019, Tracy’s piece titled, “The Sweetest Sound,” was chosen to perform in a new choreographer’s showcase, “Something’s Afoot” put on by Brenda Bufalino’s American Tap Dance Festival in New York. In 2018, Tracy presented a tap pedagogy lecture and master class at the MDO (Missouri Dance Organization) conference. In 2013, Tracy earned the Adjunct Teaching Award at Lindenwood University. She choreographs for corporate events and dance companies, teaches dance intensives, master classes and has taught at the American College Dance Festival. She has judged regional & national dance competitions and her choreography has won national titles and choreography awards. Choreography credits include the Bob Costas charity event, 60x60 Project, Spring to Dance Festival, Dancin’ In the Streets, St. Louis Bilikens basketball team, St. Louis Panera Bread Company, the opening act for a Bobby McFerrin concert as well as a Love & Unity town hall event. Tracy has been interviewed by Dancer Magazine regarding the tap dance scene in St. Louis. She has danced in the Cotton Bowl Parade and attends National Tap Dance Festivals around the country where she has studied & taken class from Jason Samuels Smith, Andrew Nemr, Chloe Arnold, Sarah Reich, Diane Walker, Arthur Duncan, Bril Barrett, Michelle Dorrance, Lane Alexander, Anthony LoCasio, Jumaane Taylor, Diane Walker, Brenda Bufalino, Acia Gray, Savion Glover,
