Lindenwood University Spring Dance Concert, 2022

SPR ING DANCE CONCERT — 2022 10 | 11 TARYN FOX of Chicago, Illinois, has been train- ing in ballet, modern, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, tap, musical theatre and jazz since the age of two. She danced competitively for 16 years receiving numerous scholarships and opportunities through conventions and compe- titions. Taryn was a recipient of the 2017-2018 Edge Performing Arts Center Scholarship in Los Angeles, California, where she spent one year training and performing for leading industry faculty and choreogra- phers from LA, Las Vegas, Chicago, and more. Taryn was featured in Dillion Francis “We the Funk” music video. She has worked person- ally with professional dancers such as Kent Boyd, Sabrina Phillips, Jackie Sleight and Helene Philips. Taryn will graduate in May from Lindenwood University with degrees in Exercise Science and Dance. LEAH FRY, originally from Springfield, Illinois, Fry is a senior BFA Candidate in Dance with an emphasis in Contemporary and a minor in French Language. Leah has previously cho- reographed works for Lindenwood University’s 2018 Winter Concert, 2019 Fall Concert and 2020 Winter Concert. Her 2019 piece “Cabinet Thoughts” was selected to repre- sent Lindenwood University at the American College Dance Association Conference. She is also an avid creator of Dance for Film projects. She has created two works: “Into the Divine” and “Faroe,” in collaboration with Lindenwood Cinema Arts students. “Faroe” was selected for American Dance Festival’s Movies By Movers International Screen Dance Festival. Additionally, she has performed in The Big Muddy’s Dance Company’s Dance Fest in 2018 and 2021, STL: Seen 2021, Six Flags Fright Fest’s Dead Man’s Party and the American College Dance Association’s Conference Gala in Milwaukee. She currently teaches at Fusion Dance Center. A highlight of her dance educa- tion has been studying Martha Graham technique in Paris Marais Dance School under the direction of Maggie Boogaart in Paris, France. She looks forward to continuing her dance career with upcoming performances at St. Louis National Dance week and
