Lindenwood University Spring Dance Concert, 2022

L INDENWOOD UNI VERS I TY contributing choreography for a Senior Dance for Film capstone project. Leah is excited to engage with the professional dance community. She thanks her family, friends, and the Lindenwood Dance and Cinema Arts Programs for making this all possible. ELIZABETH HAUSMAN of Jefferson City, Missouri is a senior at Lindenwood University where she is pursuing a degree in Dance with an emphasis in Ballet, a Business Administration degree, and a minor in Dance Studio Management. She began her dance training at the age of three in Warrensburg Missouri. After that, she trained under Katherine Howland and Elise Mosbacher for many years and received schol- arships and awards for competitive dancing while also having the opportunity to teach and choreograph at her local dance studio before coming to Lindenwood. She has per- formed and presented choreography in several Lindenwood Dance Concerts and won the Lindy Award for Outstanding Choreography by a Junior or Senior in 2021. Elizabeth has had the opportunity to perform at National Dance Week St. Louis, the American College Dance Association 2022 Conference, and other community events. Elizabeth holds a passion for business, dance, performing, and teach- ing and she hopes to continue her dance career in the coming years. AUDREY JOHNSTON is a choreographer, dancer, and teacher of over fifteen years. She began dancing at the age of three in the School of Ballet Oklahoma and furthered her training across the nation at several esteemed pre-professional programs. At 17, she became an apprentice with Oklahoma City Ballet, was promoted to company member the following year, and per- formed a total of six seasons with the company. Her favorite works include Dew Drop in Robert Mills’ The Nutcracker, the Wicked Witch of the West in Jacob Sparso’s; The Wizard of Oz, and original soloist roles in the contemporary works Zephyrus, Rising Above, and Voila! by world-renowned choreogra- phers Helen Pickett, Lee-Wei Chao, and Jessica Lang respectively.
