On May 13, 2019 the committee met to brainstorm ideas about how to move forward with diversity efforts within the College of Education and Human Services. The Chair and Co-Chair were unanimously voted and we began the process of developing a mission statement. The committee plans will focus on retention of education students, engagement of faculty, staff, students, alum, and stakeholders and also participate in diversity conferences, and seek grant opportunities. The committee has convened regularly since May 2019 to brainstorm and begin the implementation of our efforts.

The mission of the College of Education and Human Services - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (COEHS-DEI) Committee at Lindenwood University is to cultivate a state of equitable engagement and promote a culture of unity while helping to ensure the recruitment and retention of diverse faculty, staff, and students within the College of Education and Human Services.
