The energy at the home opener was palpable as the Marching Lions headed through the crowd and into the stadium. Lion Pride Tailgates provided local establishments a chance to interact with the community, while live music from local bands amped up the crowd. DARK CARNIVAL Lindenwood’s Halloween festival, Dark Carnival, was a spooktacular community event with free carnival rides, bounce houses, crafts, live music, magic shows, and the star attraction—the Haunted Hayride. The Haunted Hayride is run by Lindenwood’s Residential Life team and involves nearly 100 individuals to cultivate this heart-pounding tour through the historic side of campus. STUDENT INVOLVEMENT Students, faculty, and staff have had an exciting return to campus for the Fall 2022 semester. Student Involvement played host to many welcome events such as Move in Day, New Student Orientation, and the Student Organization Fair. These events gave the Lions an opportunity to explore all that Lindenwood has to offer. HOMECOMING WEEKEND Homecoming in October was filled with exciting activities. The Student Organization Fair, Lip Sync Pep Rally, Lindenwood University Gala, Homecoming Parade down Main Street, and energetic tailgate before the game made for a truly memorable weekend. WINTERFEST The semester draws to a close with countless Student Involvement events and caps off with Winterfest. Once again, Lindenwood will be hosting a Toy Drive for the Salvation Army during the Winterfest celebration. Attendees are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy to benefit a local family. The luminaries set the mood at Winterfest and foster a sense of hope, joy, and love as the campus community bids farewell to fall and looks forward to the spring semester. Emily J.
