Tighe also coordinates community outreach and student engagement opportunities. “I thoroughly enjoy my dual role because it allows me to interact with students in the classroom and in the clinical setting,” Tighe said. “It is really unique because I get to observe the students thriving in the classroom but also while working directly with athletes and patients, it is such a rewarding feeling to see that crossover. I also really enjoy working with my colleagues. ... I’ve always felt like there is a large emphasis on collaboration, which I am very passionate about, especially coming from the clinical setting prior to my time in higher education.” While all of the core values resonate with Tighe, she most relates to We have grit . “The word grit describes much of my personality and work ethic, and I can relate very much so to this value because of that,” Tighe said. “I am the type of person who continually self reflects with the intention of continually evolving as a person, a mom, a wife, and a professional. I enjoy the process of seeing growth in myself, but also helping others to grow and evolve and achieve their goals and aspirations.” PAM LOVE Enrollment Representative, Lindenwood Global Pam Love worked with students for many years as a member of the Lindenwood community. As an enrollment representative, Love’s interactions with incoming students are uniquely impactful. “I contact individuals who express an interest in furthering their education, to provide them with the necessary information and support needed for the admissions process,” Love said. “I encourage, assist, and coach them throughout that process. It is my responsibility to ensure our students reach their educational and professional goals. I strive to serve with excellence, accuracy, and efficiency because everything we do affects each student.” Through her work as a VIP lead, Love felt a special connection to We thrive together . “It is my favorite because I understand that without the contribution of each department the student’s educational puzzle would not be complete,” Love said. It’s no surprise that Love treats her students like family members and supports them in their degree pursuits. With her passion for students and commitment to collaboration and authenticity, Love will play a vital role in the future growth of Lindenwood. LETTER FROM A STUDENT Dear Lindenwood Community, What does it mean to put students first as a university? For me, the answer is simple: It is the same platform I ran on to be your Student Body President. It means accountability, transparency, and, most importantly, approaching situations with a mindset of growth. I promised you I would uphold these values and now, I am excited to share with you the progress we have made in tandem with our new “students first” value. This semester, we have grown and changed our campus dining programs to include late-night dining and soon, 24/7 dining options. Additionally, we have increased access to student spaces and added three new student organizations, with other potential organizations beginning in the recognition process. I am excited for the University’s energy surrounding “students first” and other initiatives to come. I look forward to seeing you on campus soon to witness these changes for yourself. Your Student Body President, success is not achieved from giving up. Your Student Body President, CLAYTON HERBST Clayton Herbst is a junior from Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, majoring in political science with a pre-law emphasis and international relations, minoring in economics and digital marketing. Clayton currently is the Student Body President and Secretary of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. PAM LOVE What I enjoy most about working at Lindenwood University is assisting people in changing their lives LAUREN TIGHE I thoroughly enjoy my dual role because it allows me to interact with students in the classroom and in the clinical setting Student
