14 15 FALL 2023 EDITION THE LINDENWOOD THE LINDENWOOD FALL 2023 EDITION CAMPUS LIFE SCHEIDEGGER CENTER J. SCHEIDEGGER CENTER FOR THE ARTS Roaring Together By Emily J. Sebourn | Manager, Special Events Lindenwood University is all about events. Not only are we glad to host events for our students, faculty, and staff, but we are elated to host events that welcome the public to campus. We also enjoy venturing out into the community for events in the greater St. Charles area. Visit the Lindenwood tent at one of the many local St. Charles festivals and meet our Special Events team who are always eager to share information about the academic year, encourage new athletic recruits, and even surprise our Alumni with special gifts. Lindenwood was very proud to host its Lion Pride Tailgate before each of its five home NCAA Division I football games this season, as well as Dark Carnival, and Winterfest, along with many other events this fall semester. Large community events brought thousands of people to campus and offered many activities free of charge. The energy that enveloped campus was mesmerizing. The entire pride came to life, and we were excited to show off our beautiful campus. To successfully execute large events requires great teamwork, and no detail is too small. Grounds, Operations, Public Safety and Security, the custodial team, and Lindenwood Catering work tirelessly to ensure our campus is stunning, safe, and memorable. Without this essential support staff, large events would not be possible. The Special Events team extends a heartfelt thank you to all colleagues and volunteers who help make our events amazing. You are the heart of the pride. We all roar together. CAMPUS EVENTS CAMPUS LIFE We thrive together: Volunteering in the arts Many nonprofit organizations rely on dedicated volunteers to fulfill their missions. The J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts is no exception. Volunteers play a vital role at the Scheidegger Center as ushers, helping to deliver a high-quality patron experience at professional touring shows, student performances, and other events throughout the year. Ushers greet guests, scan tickets, assist patrons to their seats, and help keep the Scheidegger Center clean and safe for everyone. At the Scheidegger Center, this team is comprised of dozens of individuals who strive to do what is right by giving back to the community and donating their time to help the center thrive. Scheidegger volunteers care about the arts and know they can support the arts by helping Lindenwood University remain a cultural hub for St. Charles County. If you are interested in supporting the arts through service, sign up to join the Scheidegger usher team! VOLUNTEER TODAY!
