Monique lived in Ayres Hall, Room 105 during her years as a Lindenwood student. 1970s Lamerol Gatewood ’77 is holding a book signing and speaking to students at University City High School. His book features a collection of his paintings, one which is part of the St. Louis Art Museum’s permanent collection. 1980s Dianne Isbell ‘81 has been selected as a 2022 St Louis Visionary Arts Awardee and was highlighted by Gazelle Magazine during Women’s History Month. Louis Launer ‘86 is now working at USA Mortgage in the company’s servicing department. He is beginning his fifth decade as a researcher for the St. Charles County Historical Society and continues to write articles to the Society’s quarterly publication. He is also serving on the St. Peters Parks, Recreation and Arts Advisory Board with a focus on local history. 1990s Todd Morgan Cooley ‘90 has been living and working as a university professor in Latin America for the past six years. Cooley instructs in both English and Spanish, teaching subjects such as advanced English, philosophy and corporate ethics and social responsibility. Cooley recently opened his own consulting firm that helps recent graduates secure international study abroad opportunities. Marijean Oldham ‘95 published two recent books with St. Louis-based publisher Reedy Press, Secret Charlottesville, A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure (2021) and 100 Things to Do in Charlottesville Before You Die, Third Edition (2022). Steve Crotz ’96 , the former women’s basketball coach and athletic director, and Lindenwood Hall of Famer, will be inducted to Auburn University Montgomery Athletic Hall of Fame on June 25. 2000s Deb March Banks ‘01 got married to their best friend of 26 years. The couple had a small ceremony at Waters Edge in Lake Ozark in September. Jon Lay ‘04 was recently hired as a Human Resources Business Partner with Lexicon in Maryland Heights. Ashley Gerald ‘06, ‘11 is a behavior interventionist at Lusher Elementary School in Florissant, Mo., and was awarded a Miliken Educator Award from the Miliken Family Foundation. Claudia & Fernando Alarcon ‘07 were able to apply the knowledge acquired back in school to navigate in the entrepreneur’s life, combining work, sport, and a balanced healthy life. 2010s Peter Colombatto ‘10, ‘13, ‘19 and his wife Nicole welcomed their beautiful baby girl Violet in February. NEWS & NOTES Rebecca Clark ‘11 writes children’s books that empower children to believe in their creativity. Witty Kids When Imagination Talks to You, encourages STEM occupations, curiosity and diverse literature. Her most recent article was published through Humans of St. Louis. Tracy Flicek ‘12 with her husband, Paul, welcomed their first child, a girl, on September 12. Malachi Radigan ‘14 is the current head football coach and PE/Health Teacher at Francis Howell Central High School. Samantha and Eric Peters ’14 started a new dog treat company! Based in Los Angeles, their business, Rodeo Co., launched Chicken Chips—a single ingredient, all-natural chicken jerky that is thin and crispy so all dogs can enjoy. Dr. Tajuan Wilson ‘15 was named 20 Under 40 in the Statesboro Georgia Herald and was named Managing Associate at Storbeck Search—part of the Diversified Search Group. Kat Owens ‘19 was presented with a plaque by the St. Louis County Election Board in conjunction with the St. Louis County Library as being the first-place winner in the 18 and over category for their voter sticker contest. Her sticker design at all polling locations in St. Louis County for the 2022 Election year. 2020s Kimberlee Mendoza ‘20 won the 2022 Faculty Scholarship Award at Wayland Baptist University. Liz Lewis ‘20 is getting married to Mike Wertz at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cottleville on July 16. Valerie West ‘20 welcomed her second grandson on January 26. His name is Jaxon. Jack Bedtke ‘21 immediately started his journey as a Financial Advisor with Thrivent Financial in St. Charles, Mo. Jeffrey Lewallen ‘21 is the head coach of Esports at Keiser University Pembroke Pines and Chair of the Eligibility Enforcement Committee for NACE (National Association of Collegiate Esports).
