Melinda McAfee Hart (’92), San Antonio, Texas Kayla Bierbaum (’17) of Augusta, Mo., is engaged to David Reckert of Defiance, Mo. Bierbaum has a bachelor’s in education and modern languages from the University of Central Missouri and has a master’s degree in administration from Lindenwood. She is employed by the school district of Washington as a second-grade teacher. Her fiancé graduated from Linn State Technical College in 2011 with an Associate of Applied Science degree and is employed by Merkel Mechanical as a service technician. A May 2018 wedding in Augusta is planned. Currently, more than $478,000 in endowed scholarships benefit 135 recipients. Recipient Baylie Clynes and benefactor Arthur Goodall were the featured speakers for the event. Scholarship recipient Raylon Bivins
