The Lindenwood - Fall 2020

I have so many wonderful memories of Lindenwood. One that usually comes to mind — it was a warm, sunny Sunday in September 1956 as we drove through the Lindenwood Gate onto Butler Way. Seeing the beautiful campus, I knew the adventure ahead of me would be unforgettable. REAL EXPERIENCE. REAL SUCCESS. KAY WILKINSON 1960 graduate of Lindenwood College for Women Kay Wilkinson is a 1960 graduate of Lindenwood College for Women where she studied office management. Her love for the school began in September 1956, the minute she drove through the historic gates onto campus, and as she described it, the adventure would be unforgettable. Appropriately, what Kay loves most about Lindenwood is the institution’s rich tradition and the commitment to educational excellence. She shared that while change is happening constantly throughout the world, Lindenwood has been able to incorporate the changes throughout its system and simultaneously hold steadfast to its tradition. Throughout the years, Kay has always believed Lindenwood was the foundation for her successful life. As part of an unforgettable legacy, she has established the Endowed Emma Purnell Business Management Memorial Scholarship and the Endowed Wilkinson Scholarships to be funded from her estate so her involvement with Lindenwood will carry on. While Kay believes that financial donations are impactful, she also believes that getting involved more in the community and with local youth, as well as having campus events will continue to set Lindenwood apart.
