
Kappa Delta Pi Honored with Celebration of Teaching: Gold Award
Lindenwood University's Kappa Delta Pi Tau Phi chapter were recipients of the Celebration of Teaching: Gold Award for 2024. The award, given by the national Kappa Delta Pi organization “honors chapters that go above and beyond in cultivating and retaining top-tier teachers, elevating the teaching profession to new heights.” Kappa Delta Pi, a national honor society for education, boasts over 650 university chapters. The 2024 Gold Award was awarded to only five chapters across the country.

Lindenwood Co-Hosts St. Louis Regional Collegiate Pickleball Tournament
Lindenwood University and Washington University in St. Louis Pickleball Clubs co-hosted the inaugural St. Louis Regional Collegiate Pickleball Tournament. This event, held in Bridgeton, was attended by over 70 students from eight universities in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Lindenwood’s team of Carter Smith, Madelyn Burkhardt, Edwardo Guzman, and Laura Cochran won silver medals in the tournament.

Baseball and Rugby Teams Honored at One Main Awards
Lindenwood Athletics were on center stage at the Sixth Annual One Main Awards. Hosted by the St. Charles Main Street Foundation, the One Main Awards recognize organizations and individuals who make an impact on the community. Lindenwood’s baseball and men’s rugby teams each took home Organization Awards.

Lindenwood Students’ Research Published in International Journal
Associate Professor of Exercise Science Dr. Chad Kerksick led a group of students and alumni in a research project that was published in “Nutritional Neuroscience, An International Journal on Nutrition, Diet and Nervous System." The study, researching a supplement’s effect on cognitive function, was conducted at Lindenwood in the Exercise and Performance Nutrition Laboratory.

Lindenwood Earns 2025-2026 Military Friendly® School Designation
Lindenwood University is proud to announce that it has earned the 2025-2026 Military Friendly® School designation. The University was named a Silver institution, for showing a strong commitment to the military community.

Out of the Darkness Walk Shines a Light on Mental Health
Lindenwood University partnered with the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention to host the Out of the Darkness Walk, March 2. A part of the Engage in Eight, a student involvement program designed to help students transition to life on campus, the walk serves to bring students together and promote mental health awareness.

Exercise Science Students Present at Annual ACSM Meeting
Undergraduate Exercise Science students Emily Mowbray and Lauren Sanders traveled to Fayetteville, Arkansas to participate in the 2025 American College of Sports Medicine Central States Meeting. Sanders and Mowbray were accompanied by Associate Professor Dr. Kyle Sunderland and Assistant Professor Dr. Harry Cintineo. Each of the four gave individual presentations to the 300 students, faculty, researchers, and professionals in attendance.

Lindenwood Alumnae Speak at Missouri Powerful Learning Conference
Lindenwood Alumnae Dr. Diana Iborg ’98 and Kathy Poole ’09 presented at the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Powerful Learning Conference, in February. Iborg and Poole work with the Rockwood School District and are in the third year of their Explore pilot program.

Dr. Renee Porter Selected for ACBSP Board of Commissioners
Professor, Management Dr. Renee Porter has been selected to serve as a commissioner on the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. The ACBSP is the accreditation agency for the Robert W. Plaster College of Business and Entrepreneurship. Porter first joined the University full-time in 2007 and worked with the ACBSP to get the college’s accreditation in 2010.

Business Students Complete Service-Learning with the Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis
Students in Associate Professor of Management Dr. Gökhan Eğilmez’s Business Analytics class worked with the Women’s Foundation of Greater St. Louis in a service-learning project with real-world applications.
