Generally, jurisdiction and the conduct process will be limited to behavior which occurs on university premises (owned, leased, or uses) or at university-sponsored activities. Jurisdiction and the conduct process will apply to the students, student groups and student organization behavior which occurs off university premises when the conduct adversely affects the university, a member of the university community or the reflects a clear disregard for the rights of others.
Each student will be responsible for complying with this Community Standards from the time of application for admission through the actual awarding of a degree as well as during the academic year and during periods between terms of actual enrollment (even if their conduct is not discovered until after a degree is awarded). The Community Standards shall apply to a student’s conduct violation even though the alleged violation may have occurred before classes begin or after classes end. The Community Standards and Resolution Conflict staff or designee may choose to pursue an alleged charge even if the student withdraws from school while a matter is pending.
