Campus Privileges

Purpose

Lindenwood University is committed to providing competitive benefits to all employees.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees employed by the University.

Policy

  • I. Campus Bookstore
    • Employees receive a ten (10) percent discount off their purchase at the campus bookstore upon presentation of a valid ID.
  • II. Dining Services
    • During the academic year, employees are eligible to obtain a free lunch on Friday. Free lunches can be redeemed at either Evans Commons Dining Hall or Spellmann Center.
  • III. Event Tickets
    • Employees will receive two complimentary tickets to all athletic events and student theater productions.
    • Discounts on tickets to the touring series at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts are available for select productions. Limitations may apply.
  • IV. ID Cards
    • University photo ID cards can be obtained from the IT Help Desk on the first floor of the LARC. IDs are required for activities such as entering University buildings and events, receiving on-campus discounts, and library use.
  • V. Library Access
    • Employees have full library access to available materials such as books, subscriptions, databases, and other resources. Materials may be checked out with a valid ID.
  • VI. Microsoft Office Software
    • Free downloads of Microsoft Office 365 are available to all employees with a valid Lindenwood email address on up to five (5) devices.
    • Additional Microsoft products may be available to purchase at discounts up to 80% off retail price.
  • VII. Other Discounts and Privileges
    • Additional discounts and privileges may extend past the benefits listed in this policy and are subject to change. Employees can access more information under Useful Links in Workday.
  • VIII. Parking Permits
    • Employees may register for FREE annual parking permits through StarRez or at the Public Safety Office. Each University employee is required to obtain and display a parking permit to park on University grounds. A parking permit is valid for all Lindenwood campuses and sites.
    • Campus parking and vehicular regulations are designed to minimize congestion, maintain safety, enhance security, and maximize the use of existing parking facilities. No vehicle should be parked in any area not marked as a parking spot. Any curb on campus painted yellow designates a fire lane. Parking in a fire lane will result in a parking fine and possible towing. Parking in no-parking zones or courtesy lanes is prohibited. Parking in handicapped parking by those who do not have a disability permit is prohibited.
  • IX. Printing and Copy Center Use
    • Employees can access self-service printers and scanners located on campus. Employees may also send requests for printing to the Copy Center during regular business hours. Details regarding acceptable print jobs and potential cost center costs can be found on the Copy Center’s website.
  • X. Recreational Facilities
    • Employees have access to the recreational facilities in Evans Commons during regular operational hours. Additionally, employees are allowed one guest per visit for a fee of $5 per day. Guests must present a photo ID and must be accompanied by a Lindenwood employee who will be responsible for the actions of their guest while using the Rec Center.
