Purpose
To encourage students to complete internship courses during the summer term, there will be a discounted rate applied to such courses.
Scope
This policy applies to undergraduate courses with a PIF (practicum, internship, or field experience) designation.
Policy
- For students enrolled during a summer term in a course with a PIF (practicum, internship, or field experience) designation for 3 or more credit hours, they will be granted a reduction in tuition that is equivalent to 2 credit hours.
- For students enrolled during a summer term in a course with a PIF (practicum, internship, or field experience) designation for 2 credit hours, they will be granted a reduction in tuition that is equivalent to 1 credit hour.
- The maximum tuition reduction allowed during a single summer term is the equivalent of 2 credit hours. If a student is enrolled in an internship for more than 3 hours or is enrolled in multiple internships during the same summer term, only the maximum reduction in tuition that is equivalent to 2 credit hours will be granted.
- If a student enrolls in an internship in a summer term in a different calendar year, they will be eligible for the grant.
- No discount will be granted for PIF courses taken during the summer that are 1 credit hour.
