Lindenwood IACUC
The mission of the Lindenwood Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) is to oversee the care, well-being, and humane treatment of animals used for research and educational purposes at Lindenwood University. Any research project, class activity, or testing procedure involving the use of animals at Lindenwood University or by its representatives must be reviewed and approved by the IACUC before initiation.
The Lindenwood IACUC is actively engaged in:
- Ethical review of the use and care of animals for teaching and research.
- Monitoring animal care and use in compliance with federal, state, and local policy.
- Ongoing review of facilities where animals are housed and used.
- Providing resources for faculty using animals in teaching and research.
