How many students will be admitted each year?
Each fall welcomes a new cohort of 48 students into our program. It’s an exciting opportunity that allows students to start their nursing journey alongside a supportive group of peers!
When may students apply?
Applications for Fall 2025 cohort, which begins in September 2025, are now open! Prospective students can apply through NursingCAS.
Only students who have completed the pre-nursing coursework, or expect to complete the required courses, before Fall 2025 are eligible to apply. Please contact Meridith Voegler with any questions you may have.
Application for Fall 2026 cohort will open in Fall 2025.
Are students guaranteed entry?
No. University admission does not automatically guarantee admission into the nursing major as students approach their junior year. Students will need to submit a separate application for the nursing program, and admission is competitive. To be considered, all core pre-nursing courses must be completed or in progress before applying.
May student athletes apply to and succeed in the program? Will training and competition schedules conflict with the curriculum?
Student athletes may apply, as long as all general education and support courses have been completed. In the junior and senior years, courses will include required clinical components. Our nursing faculty and the athletics department will collaborate to help student athletes fulfill clinical course requirements.
What should students do in the meantime?
Students intending on applying to the nursing program should:
