As a student involved in the Pre-Dental program you will typically follow the Lindenwood curriculum for one of the following majors: a bachelor of science degree in biological science, a bachelor of science in cellular and molecular biology, a bachelor of science in chemistry, or a bachelor of science in biochemistry.

Any of these degrees will get you the prerequisite coursework that you need to be a good candidate for application to a dental school. These courses include:

• General Chemistry at least 2 semesters (with laboratories)
• General Biology at least 2 semesters (with laboratories)
• Organic Chemistry - 2 semesters (with laboratories)
• Human Anatomy and Physiology - 2 semesters (with laboratories)
• Biochemistry - 1 semester (with laboratory)
• Microbiology - 1 semester (with laboratory)
• General Physics - 2 semesters (with laboratories)
• English Reading and Composition - 2 semesters
• Students must also complete an entrance test (MCAT, GRE, DAT or OAT)

It is generally recommended that as you work toward completing the degree requirements you enroll in additional courses or outside volunteer opportunities that may expand your applications packet. If you have specific dental schools in mind you should work with your major advisor to make sure that you complete any courses that are required or recommended by that school.
